Monthly Stills: January 2014

We are getting a slow start this year with images. Simply with being busy and then severely spraining my foot, the decision to not do a portrait a week was sort of made for us!

What I am committed to in 2014, however, is to capture "monthly stills" from around the house or when we're out and about. This is our life, the small bits that over time create the memories. These are the things we see each day and then promptly forget about ... Lucinda playing underneath the dining room table or putting baby bear to bed only to decide that she should be the one to sleep in the wee bed.

In relation to this year's monthly stills, I will borrow a thoughtful quote posted on the blog of the very talented Leah Zawadzki ...

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
