Lucinda and I had a wonderful visit to Fort Collins to see Nana over Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed fun-filled days especially geared to a toddler and relaxing nights. The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery was under construction the last time we visited, so it was at the top of our list this time around. The museum is filled with things that get kids to use all their senses. Things to touch and play with, things you can build and listen to. We also checked out the Farm at Lee Martinez Park, a place that I'd never even heard of when I was a student at CSU. Lucinda thoroughly enjoyed identifying the wide variety of farm animals!
We spent one afternoon at Long Pond having a picnic lunch and playing in the sand. There were trips to the playground, walks with Libby, and naps every afternoon.
I thought it was a fine opportunity to do our monthly Mama in the Picture during our visit and have it include all three of us.
